Overall I love this watch and would for sure say it's a good buy. A see-through sapphire case back highlights the Seiko-made SII NH36A movement on the automatic, while the solar edition boasts an Epson VS43 that charges when exposed to sunlight or strong artificial lighting. Both watches are water resistant to 200m and contain a super bright Swiss Super-LumiNova lume for better vision in the dark. Each variant is available in both stonewashed and DLC black colorways, with both coming with two easily-changeable nato straps. The stonewashed colorway is accompanied by a green nylon strap and a brown Horween leather band, and the DLC black by black versions of the same straps.

We stumbled across it in several locations, especially among labels focused on sustainable production. Future Impact, for example, showed the Monolith table and chair by David Lee, while Hydro had seven renowned designers make objects made of recycled aluminum, in which the bright green appeared again and again. Our bedrooms are often the most overlooked spaces when it comes to the design of our homes, and yet the average person will spend 26 years of their lives in bed. There are a few really good design principles that can help you make the most of your tiny / small bedroom or sleeping loft and in this episode we explore some of our favourite ideas.

It's just a pity not to come with at least one extra refill. You may want to swap a few decor items out seasonally or as your tastes change, but these will likely be more minor changes versus extensive overhauls. If you’re choosing long-standing, stylish pieces, you can safely invest a bit more money into them, helping to ensure their quality and therefore longevity. Though you can’t avoid every cleaning task, thinking about those you frequently miss or find annoying to clean can help you choose low-maintenance or easier-to-clean items for those spaces.

The latter is a carbon-neutral, ultra-compact porcelain surface specifically designed to be scratch- and impact-resistant, so you won’t have to worry about scratches from kitchen utensils or warping from hot pans. One of the most essential tips for cutting down on maintenance and cleaning in your home is to focus on the materials you choose. The allure of certain styles might appeal to you from a design perspective, but be sure to seek advice on how certain materials deal with wear and tear and if they’re right for certain rooms. Otherwise, you may end up replacing fixtures well before you’re meant to. Small-space dwellers who need a WFH setup needn’t work in their bed all day (though, hey, we’re not judging). With the right amount of spatial finagling, you can fit a small desk into a studio apartment.
I got the Automatic stonewashed version of the Ti Field watch and I couldn't be happier with the actual watch. They don't allow you to tuck the end of the strap back into the titanium loops so the extra bit of strap just kind of flaps in the wind. I ended up buying the Prometheus design werx Ti ring strap and it's about 3 to 4 inches longer and allows you fold the ends back through the loops like you're suppose to with a strap. Also the strap that came with the watch are not as good of quality as the watch is in that only after 2 days of wearing the watch with the supplied strap the clasp had started to stretch out the holes in the strap. I like the leather strap but it's too small for me as well and I wish that it had another 3 to 4 inches of material but I'll use that strap from time to time.
It stands to reason that the more components of your home design, the more upkeep there will be. After all, if you’re not chasing the latest trends, you won’t feel the need to change things up in your home every year or so, resulting in less work. Other common options include low-profile toilets that are easier to clean underneath (as suggested by Oakley) and easy-to-clean vinyl flooring. If you’re known to skip Sunday reset day, asking about ease of cleaning upfront can help before committing to appliances or materials. Opting for more low-maintenance home materials and home styles can save you time, money and elbow grease. Feeling ready to make your puny studio apartment feel like a palace?
While you may not need to go quite so extreme, limiting the number of things on shelves, coffee tables and countertops can greatly reduce your cleaning time. It looks cool, it’s got a fun clickly mechanism, but that’s where the positives stop. This extremely overpriced piece of garbage only takes D1 refills, which run out of ink within days of being installed. The cartridge it came with ran dry on the second day of use, and all refills I’ve used have lasted less than a week each. This ridiculous $70 fidget toy is made in China, whereas my Fisher Space Pen Bullet was made in the US, cost $20, and is still going strong on the original cartridge 3 years after I first bought it.

I also purchased a James/Timex white face watch while I was waiting for this one to arrive - which I like for all the same reasons. Lume on the Ti Field Watch seems brighter/lasts longer in an unofficial comparison. If you need an everyday automatic watch, this is definitely worth the $.
With popular items such as its compact pen-sized Titanium Multi-Bit Driver and the handy NeoLucida optical aid, the Tennessee-based company is covering each corner of EDC one Kickstarter campaign at a time. We have teamed up with RZE Watches to come up with, what we believe to be, the perfect titanium field watch. We came up with this minimal titanium watch that not only looks good, but is also full of features such as timer, day-date window, and super bright lume that can help you tackle daily tasks. We design and make not only aesthetically pleasing, but also functional, adaptable and high quality everyday carry products. We believe by pushing the boundary of what's possible in the engineering world, we are able to provide EDC essentials that you will love to carry everyday. In Milan, a nostalgic wind blew through the showrooms, where Willy Rizzo and Josef Hoffmann would have felt very comfortable with a drink (probably champagne in a Lobmeyr glass).
Prepare to live off of peanut butter sandwiches for the next three years. Find a spot that’s just two blocks from the subway and allows for you to pay off that journalism degree? Better get used to living in the cozy confines of 500 square feet. That’s right, we’re talking about the unique joys of living in a studio apartment. Once you’ve determined that, she adds, it’s important to choose furnishings that do double or even triple duty. I got rid of my phone line so I wouldn’t have to look at another phone sitting on the counter or cord running to the wall.
For more inspiration, here are 10 clever ideas to help you live your life to the fullest…without cluttering your space, of course. In the air is a desire for solidity, for concreteness, for materiality—and pieces that carry their own weight, in every sense, are breaking into domestic design. So it’s logical that materials like travertine—and even more so, marble—are playing an important role in this design week.
Don’t waste your money on this worthless, yet expensive clicky toy. For more details on shipping to Non US countries, please click here. The Bit Bar™ features a full-sized handle, is TSA compliant, and is available in an ultralight fiberglass reinforced nylon, or titanium (stonewashed or battle-worn Black DLC).

Last week, editors from AD’s global editions gathered for Milan Design Week 2024—and even now, we’re feeling the electricity. Having hit up the major installations, showroom presentations, and, of course, the Salone del Mobile fair itself, here are the takeaways and trends we’re still talking about. Our long time manufacturing partner is located in China, where our company was founded. We often use components made in Japan, Germany and the US.
All around town, 1970s gloss paired with sophisticated Art Deco craftsmanship, taking shape in a variety of new products. This meeting of eras manifested in the form of rich colors like bordeaux and petrol, as well as in materials like lacquer and steel (sometimes oxidized, other times satin-finished or chrome-plated). It was New York Halston Glam meets the Vienna Secession. I’m not a watch guy, but when I decided to de-digital my life and replace my smartwatch with a traditional timepiece, the Ti Field Watch was at the top of my list. It’s a natural fit with all of Big I’s other pens and tools, especially if you’ve been collecting them in the stonewashed finish.
